With a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, I bring 15 years of experience in the world of creative nonfiction, including an award-winning book and multiple features, essays and profiles for literary publications. My immersive experience with magazine editing and longform journalism makes me well suited to understand the hard work and creativity required to craft compelling narratives based on real-world research that would captivate readers from beginning to end.
Mentorship and feedback
The craft takes years and years to master, and while a single formula won't apply to every project, a mix of reporting/research and writing tools and techniques, structural frameworks, and editorial guidance can help anyone feel more confident attempting book-length narrative nonfiction. I work with writers at various stages in the process of putting together a creative nonfiction book, from discussing whether an idea is book worthy to providing detailed editorial feedback on a finished manuscript.
